Francoski fotograf Ludovic Lyne o čuječem projektu, ki je pripeljal do te digitalne naslovnice: “S projektom UPSIDE DOWN sem želel raziskati fascinacijo, ki že vrsto let zaznamuje moje delo – odnos med telesom in prostorom. Nisem plesalec, vendar v meni ta umetniška forma vzbuja skoraj prvinski odziv. Telo me fascinira. Ne le zaradi tega, kar razkriva o naših čustvih in identiteti, temveč tudi zaradi svoje skoraj arhitekturne razsežnosti. Določene drže imajo logiko, ki presega zgolj izraznost. Postanejo linije, volumni, ravnotežja in napetosti. Verjamem, da ta fascinacija izhaja iz zelo preprostega vprašanja: kako telo zaseda prostor okoli sebe? Kako že s svojo prisotnostjo spreminja naše dojemanje prostora?”
Za digitalno naslovnico Grazie francoski fotograf Ludovic Lyne predstavlja projekt UPSIDE DOWN, vizualno raziskavo odnosa med telesom, prostorom in zaznavanjem. Serija izhaja iz preprostega, a izjemno zanimivega vprašanja: kako telo s svojo prisotnostjo spreminja prostor okoli sebe in naš način, kako ga doživljamo?
V projektu telo postopoma preneha biti zgolj fotografski subjekt ter postane gradnik vizualnega jezika. Krivulje, zasuki, napetosti in ravnotežja ustvarjajo skoraj arhitekturne kompozicije, v katerih se prepletata matematična natančnost in človeška izraznost. Fotografije raziskujejo mejo med nadzorom in spontanostjo, med geometrijo in emocijo, med hladno strukturo in prvinskim instinktom.
Skupaj z modelom Candice Duthe ter ustvarjalno ekipo projekt odpira nov pogled na telo – ne kot na samoumevno obliko, temveč kot na skrivnost, ki nenehno spreminja našo percepcijo sveta. UPSIDE DOWN je hkrati vizualna študija in umetniška pripoved o ravnotežju, identiteti in moči perspektive.

UPSIDE DOWN – An aesthetic of body architecture
French photographer Ludovic Lyne reflects on the creative vision behind this digital cover: “Is there only one way to possess a space? With UPSIDE DOWN, I wanted to explore a fascination that has shaped my work for many years: our relationship with space through the body. I am not a dancer, yet this art form triggers an almost visceral reaction in me. The body is an obsession. Not only for what it reveals about our emotions and identities, but also for its almost architectural dimension. Certain postures possess a logic that transcends expression. They become lines, volumes, balances, and tensions. I believe this fascination originates from a very simple question: how does a body occupy the world around it?”
For this Grazia digital cover, French photographer Ludovic Lyne presents UPSIDE DOWN, a visual exploration of the relationship between the body, space and perception. The series is built around a simple yet compelling question: how does the presence of a body transform the space around it, and the way we experience that space?
Throughout the project, the body gradually ceases to be merely a photographic subject and becomes a tool of construction. Curves, tensions, extensions and balances create compositions that feel almost architectural, where mathematical precision meets human emotion. The images explore the space between control and instinct, geometry and feeling, structure and vulnerability.
Created in collaboration with model Candice Duthe and a talented creative team, UPSIDE DOWN invites viewers to reconsider the body not as something familiar or self-evident, but as a mystery. The result is both a visual study and an artistic narrative about balance, identity and the transformative power of perspective.
